Sacrament of Confirmation 2025
Confirmation is one of the Sacraments of Initiation, enhancing and deepening the spiritual journey that begins with Baptism.
Receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation strengthens a Christian's relationship with God and fortifies the Gifts of the Holy Spirit: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. This empowerment equips Christians to more effectively witness Christ in the world.
The Catholic Parish of New Plymouth offers an engaging and spirited Confirmation programme every year during Term 2, held Mondays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The programme consists of seven sessions, along with a weekend confirmation camp.
Attendance at all sessions and the camp is essential, so please ensure your participation.
The 2025 Confirmation Programme is take place during Term 2, from 28 April 2025 to 15 June 2025.

Confirmation camp
Friday, 30 May (5:00 pm) - Sunday, 1 June 2025 (2:00 pm). The dates are yet to be confirmed.
The camp will end with a family Mass and a potluck lunch at 12:00 pm on Sunday, 1 June 2025. Family members and sponsors are welcome to join.
Confirmation Mass
Sunday, 15 June 2025, at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church with Bishop John Adams, followed by a Confirmation Celebration in the church hall.
